Not that my life is normal anyway, but something very odd occured this morning. As some of you know, I work nights at the local hospital (Our Lady of Pain and Suffering -Temple of Doom Medical Center). Anyway, I sleep during the day - just me, the dog and a couple of cats. The picture is actually my husband but you get the idea, right? Anyway to make a blog story short the dog hears something outside this morning and starts barking -right next to my head . I guess it had something to do with my inner ear or equilibrium or something but the room started spinning and I barely made it to the bathroom before breakfast made it's encore. I don't have any pain in my ear or anything so I think everything is intact but I still feel kinda wierd. I still can't close my eyes without getting dizzy and my mouth watering. I guess these may be my last words so I might as well tell you all where the money is hidden. Its in the, the ...Aaaauugggg(why would she have written aaaauugggg before she died?) No, just kidding, I feel alright. I've just never had a reaction to a loud noise like that before. I didn't go to work tonight because frankly, I think puking on patients is unprofessional. I'm sure I'll be fine by morning, but I can't get the image out of my head of that SouthPark episode where the kid pukes on people everytime he gets scared or nervous. Do I need a doctor, a therapist or just a bigger bed?

I thought you all might enjoy some photos. They say a thousand words, you know...
This is at the OKC Zoo. By the way, the big ape (you choose) and I watched Casablanca the other day. Two opposable thumbs up.
There is a neat website that I enjoy while I wait the week for things to upload, download and such on my dial-up connection. www. primarygames.com There is a section that says 'games' and you can pick from dozens of games to play. I play Fowl Words, Topsy Turvy, and Bug on a Wire - but there are plenty that I have never tried. As long as I keep my internet explorer open after I disconnet from the internet I can still play offline and that is pretty cool.
I've been off work for the last four days so no new sputum news to report. Today is Sunday, and we spent the day at the local waterpark- Castaway Craphole (one word). Jason hurt his back lifting a cooler about five minutes after we got there, so we mostly went round and round the Lazy River all day. He starts school tomorrow - that must suck!!! Actually, I don't know which is worse- being in school and having to go everyday or being out of school and having to pay for it. I go into repayment on those loans soon; Its going to be like another house payment- and frankly I'd rather have a good flaming case of syphilis. But you gotta do what you gotta do until its done or until you're done, I guess. Anyone like to take bets on which will come first?
I'll try to remember to post any good stories from the realm of the hospital, but I think this will end up being a forum for me to vent about things that bother me, which ends up being just about everything. But if it will make you happy...
I can't remember if I have shared with you all the story of the Prince, the Porkchop and the Peas. The details are kinda vague but this guy ends up in the ICU with a piece of porkchop the size of my fist lodged in his throat. Don't people chew anymore? Anyway, so we dig this half a pig's ass out and low and behold, Peas!!!! We couldn't figure out what was causing his breathing trouble after we got the pork dislodged so we got a chest xray. Everything looked normal except the 12 little round blobs in his chest . To make a long and frankly icky story short, I can tell you how we got them out- three respiratory therapists, a doctor, a fiber optic bronchoscope and long wire with a little grabber on the end called a 'basket'. What I can't tell you is how they got in there- I mean , lets replay the situation in our heads. Guy loads up a spoon with peas and shovels it in (depending on the size of the peas, you can't get more than 8-10 on a normal spoon -I've put some time into this) which is followed by a slab of pork that you could float a whole family back to Havana on. How much of a hurry was this guy in? Two spoonfuls of peas and a porkchop... not my idea of fast food.
Einstein say hello to all. No..., nevermind, she was just chasing a cricket. She says screw you guys.

Well, here I am. I guess I am a blogger now. Some of you know how long it took me to submit to a cell phone and that I am still resisting Email so you can understand why this is a big jump for me. I did just purchase a new computer so I guess I can at least try to communicate with you, the outside world, at least a little. Just don't get too touchy-feely right away; I never email on the first blog.
I tend to be pretty "long-winded" in person so this is a good way I can update everybody on the various occurances in my meager existance without taking up, say... a whole bus ride. One needs time to ponder the rank of Freaks across the continental U.S. without interruption, I suppose. Now I can be as "blog-winded" as I like. Anyway, I guess the only thing new on my side of Freakdom is that our local construction/syphilis expert told me that my plans to pour a concrete driveway on the left side of the house was the worst idea he had ever heard and that I would be wasting my money. For those parties that are aware of current projects in the works: We were standing on the slab of his 700 sq foot "gameroom/new place to store worthless junk" when he dropped this pearl of wisdom on me. Can anyone recall me ever actually having a good idea? By the way, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you that LEFT ME HERE, ALONE, TO DIE IN THIS RATHOLE OF A TOWN. No, no, really, enjoy your fancy civilizations- I'll just be here catching sputum in a cup if anyone needs me...
