We robbed Target, then went to a movie.
This is the unintentional stolen object list (for the proofreaders out there - the list is intentional, the stealing was not, eat poop) :
- One hot pink, Isaac Mizrahi leather dog collar
- One G-Force, PaperMate Ball point pen, black ink
The flaw in having the customer empty their own cart is that sometimes things accidentally left in the cart. If I was going to smuggle something out on purpose I would have gone for the freaking $15 pillowcases. We figured it out when we got to the car and please take note that we did not return to the store and demand to pay. So what, we are bad people. Lexy likes us, and that's all that matters.
The movie was called Serenity and was neat. Jason really likes it, it was his 2nd time to see it, which should clue you into that it was SCI-FI. I guess the same guy that directs the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series created this story as a show that was run on Fox for half a season or so. Apparently, they only advertised it on the internet- I had never heard of it until my husband, Fattie Mcfatfat, told me about it. Anyway, the movie is pretty good, but if you see it be prepared for a few things.
1. There are no big names in it. I don't recognize one person, but J tells me that they are all the actors from the show.
2. It is a space-ship story, but the dialog is something that I can only call Western/ Japanese, whatever that means. It is kinda like if a Japanese writer was trying to channel John Wayne into the Bladerunner script. If you can get past that, which I am still trying to do, the movie actually works on some level.
3. It has a really cool long shot at the beginning like the kitchen scene from Good Fellas but the actors have about 20 pages of really complicated dorky lines to pull off all in one take, which was at the point where I started hoping for a massive brainstem stroke. But eventually I got used to the way they talk, so we can hold the stroke for the next Star Trek convention that I am forced to attend.
4. We may be seeing the next Hot Guy come out of this movie. The guy that plays the Captian of the Serenity (the ship) is like a really charming Brenden Frazier, but not so dumb looking. I really liked him, and his character was funny.
5. There are no Aliens, Hutts, Wookies, or other creatures (that would in reality make Humans their BITCH, because , really, what are we going to do to stop them?). There are only humans fucking up the Earth and moving on to fuck up other planets. That is one thing that this movie has going for it; it points out that we are our own worst enemy and doesn't brush that off on some race of space bugs.
6. So to recap: Serenity, Not a total waste of time.
