Jason turned 29 yesterday and has already started to show serious signs of old age. First of all, he was so busy with school and impending tests that he had no alcoholic beverages the entire day. Let me repeat that. NO ALCOHOL ON HIS BIRTHDAY. Is this the Jason we know? Is this the guy who, just a few short years ago, would have been drunk as hell...standing(or laying) on his(or anyone's) dining room table by the end of the night?

Big hug to J for being so dedicated to finishing strong on this last semester Reminder: Jason's Graduation is May 13th @ 10:00am. Party to follow. Location TBA.

It must be hard to be a convincing tough-guy Tomcat with a pink nose and feet.
I think the trick is to lure them in with cuteness and then strike when they least expect it.

This looks like the last picture I saw of Tom Cruise trying to block the camera ( except my Ari is taller).

SNAKES!!! Shit !!!Gardening involves snakes!!! There was a bunch of baby snakes under my whiskey barrel planters ( that I have been weeding around with my BARE hands). Eeeeuckkk!!!
I'll post more about this when I finish poking at all the computer cables under the desk with a really long stick. I offically have the Heebie- Geebies.

Blekkkk! This is me - really creeped out.

" Ah, Mel, chill out. They're just snakes. I forget that things that would scare women scare you too." - says Jason, my darling husband.

That makes me... ? Fucking creeped out - that's what that makes me!!!

I'll see if I can get a picture so our family expert can identify them for me, and then I'll sell the house!

Warning: Contains more boring pictures of dirt, but sadly, no dirty pictures.

Anybody want to help us kick Joe Brown's saggy ass? This morning Connie and I got all suited up and drove out to Charlie,TX to pick strawberries at Young's Orchard because Joe Brown told us they were open - and of course they were very closed. Not a person for miles. This place is way out by where Aaron (lives?)(lived?)(did we count him as one of the living?)- by his parents farm. So we didn't get to pick strawberries, but it is a nice day and it was a good drive. All that farm land reminded me how much work just planting my 10x15 garden was/is, and I can't imagine what it must have been like 100 years ago when they planted all those miles of crops by hand. Plow what? Uh, no,... can't I just be a whore or something?

I just realized, wow, I'm old.

Here are a few pictures that I took of my garden today. Since the last posting I've put up a fence to keep the Demon Dog out and I planted most of my seedlings. I've got 4 different kinds of Berries planted in whiskey barrels that I'm pretty sure are already dead- although I think the blueberries might make a comeback.

Lexy got inside the fence a few days ago, and when I started yelling at her she knew she was in trouble but didn't remember how to get out- so she just ran around in circles until almost everything was up-rooted.

I took a moment to stop... take a breath... count to 10, like they say in the "Never shake a baby" commercials. I was able to replant and recover almost everything and the dog is still breathing, for now. What can you do in that situation but laugh? ( Anger management classes = money well spent!)

I have no idea if anything will even stay alive ( including the dog), but I'll keep watering it until it starts to grow bigger or I'm sure its dead. Like I've said, this is just a hobby so if it dies I'll just go back to gambling. Addiction grows like a weed.

The Layout, just in case you were wondering. (Is anybody really reading this crap?)

I rock. I can flawlessly operate a ventilator in pressure control, pressure support, bi-level, and reverse a person's normal I:E ratio. No problem! I can tap into any one of a half dozen arteries with a needle the size of my thigh, all while singing "Tainted Love" and never miss a note. Collapsed Lung? No sweat! Can you say 'Needle Decompression'? But...

Today, I had to ask an eight year old boy to help me change the time on my pager. Just when you think you' re almost a super hero...
