After 20 minutes of trying and failing to braid my own hair, I just figured out why it is called a "French Braid"...

A creepy disease is not all I got for my B-Day...

Jason got me a new fancy digital camera: the Canon EOS Rebel XT .

I really like it !!! I don't completely understand how to use it yet, but I'm learning.

Some of the things that make it better than my old camera:

1) it's fast- I push the button, it takes the picture without having to think about it for 5 seconds like my old camera 2) it has the option for interchangable lenses... warm up the credit cards, now I've got an expensive hobby!!! 3) it has a great built-in popup flash, but also has a mount for a external flash or speedlite- oh goody, more stuff to buy! 4) and, yes, I've already lost the lense cap.

Poor Winston thinks I've grown a big flashing eye in the middle of my forehead because all I do is follow him around and take pictures. Its his fault for being so damn cute!

This old age thing doesn't waste any time !!!
Last week I turned 30, and almost like clockwork I get diagnosed with a skin disease. There goes my shot at being a Victoria's Secret Model. Oh well !!!

Alright Googlers here you go: Pityriasis Rosea - look it up. Be prepared for some gross pictures - and yes, that is what my whole body looks like right now.

It could be worse, I mean, at least they say it will go away on it's own and reoccurence is rare. Its not bacterial, fungal, or contagious, so i feel pretty lucky because for a while I was sure I had the chicken pox- no matter what the doctors said. ... and if you're reading this, you should feel pretty lucky too because you and I both know that I probably have come into contact with you in the last two weeks, but my doctor assures me that you are in no danger.

So its a benign disorder, but it itches like hell and I look like I belong in a tower.
The doctor gave me a steriod shot - but I still can't hit a baseball for shit!!!

...I'm bringin' spotty back...
